Pavement Systems

This rating method provides a procedure for uniformly identifying and describing, in terms of severity and extent, pavement distress.

Underground Infrastructure

This method is based on a visual survey of the number and types of distresses in a pavement. First, the type and extent of existing distresses, their severity level is collected.

Pavement Management Systems

PAVER uses inspection data and a pavement condition index (PCITM) rating from zero (failed) to 100 (excellent) for consistently describing a pavement's condition and for predicting its M&R needs many years into the future.

Preventive Maintenance Review

A planned strategy of cost effective treatments to an existing roadway system and its appurtenances that preserves the system, retards future deterioration, extends the service life, and maintains or improves the functional condition of the system without substantially increasing structural capacity.

Life-Cycle Calculations

Pavement Investigations

KES investigates pavement conditions accurately with the precise data needed to protect your pavement investment. We offer both visual pavement assessments and pavement evaluations, including deflection testing and coring, which provide detailed visual and physical analyses of pavement structures.

Dynamic Cone Pen Testing

DCP Testing is a valuable tool for evaluating the strength of subsurface soils to depths of 30 feet or more. DCP Testing has been used in the US for over 15 years to evaluate the strength and bearing capacities of soils beneath pavement systems and building foundations.
